About

Carol Montpart Studio is a multi-disciplinary creative practice in London, specialising in art direction, editorial design, branding and publishing. The studio works across the fields of art, culture and fashion.

Versatile and ever-evolving, Carol’s work is deeply rooted in strong conceptual thinking and transcends graphic design trends. She approaches each brief with sensitivity and applies this in her close collaborations with artists, photographers, writers and thinkers. Her work spans publication, campaign, brand identity, environmental and digital, working with international names such as Winkreative, Frieze Art Fair, Whitechapel Gallery, Hermès, LVMH and Claire de Rouen Books.

In 2011, Carol co-founded the internationally-distributed publication The Plant and continues to lead as co-creative director alongside Isabel Merino. While staying true to its original vision which was to be a curious observer of ordinary plants and other greenery, the magazine has evolved into a widely acclaimed publication investigating our relationship to flora, from the political to the artistic. With over ten issues, The Plant has forged collaborations with Juergen Teller, Simone Rocha, Wolfgang Tillmans, Takashi Homma, Margaret Howell, Paul McCartney and many more.
